ICT opens New York office

We’re excited to announce the opening of our New York office. From the new office we’ll offer a range of ICA certifications and qualifications as well as bespoke regulatory and financial crime compliance training for firms based in the US and Canada. We already have offices in the UK, Dubai and Singapore.

The New York office is led by:

Steve StrompSteve Stromp
Director, ICT North America

Steve is responsible for development and operations of ICT in North America. 

Steve’s international experience includes AML and Compliance, banking, training, education management and cross border market entries. He has held various leadership and consulting roles. Steve has worked, lived and at times studied in Slovakia, Russia, Czechia, Bulgaria, Denmark, Belgium, Ireland and China.

He earned an undergraduate degree in Political Science at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and a dual degree MBA from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus and the Wirtschaft University in Vienna, Austria. Steve lives with his wife and two girls in Omaha, Nebraska.


Gary ShomoGary F. Shomo
Business Development Director

Gary is responsible for developing new business relationships and maintaining/expanding existing business relationships in North America for ICT.

He has an extensive background in the learning and development industry with particular expertise in eLearning applications. Gary has also had key sales and executive management roles with many of the worldwide leading providers of compliance and regulatory learning.

A graduate of Bowling Green State University with a BSBA in Selling & Sales Management and Marketing, Gary lives with his spouse in New York city.


Ashley MacfarlaneAshley McFarlane
Operations Manager

Ashley is responsible for the overall management of ICT North America Operations. This includes program management of both public and in-house course offerings, supporting relationships with external clients and partners, and internal coordination of the New York office and team.

Prior to joining ICT, Ashley worked in training program management for a large global financial services organization focusing on junior talent learning and development for the asset management groups. Her experience also includes working in the field of government contracting aiding and facilitating public-private partnerships between small business entrepreneurs and local or federal entities. She is a graduate of Cornell University and holds a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from New York University.
